One has to quit the app and restart it. Till now I’ve had no issues with the app but recently since the update to iPad OS 13.5.1 has rolled out, I’ve been having trouble with the pause, fast forward and backward (10 seconds up and down) controls in the app.The problem is that there is a huge delay in the press and the action being performed- fast forward and backward buttons have lag times and incase there are multiple presses to quickly go 30-40 seconds up or down, the whole app freezes and does not respond.
